1.Source data

Every per-IdP rate on this site comes from that vendor's own pricing page. All eight were re-fetched on 30 September 2026, and each IdP page carries its own verified date in the byline.

Where a vendor page is JavaScript-walled and cannot be read directly, the fallback is a search restricted to that vendor's own domain, so the figure still originates with the vendor. Pricing aggregators are not a source here, and neither is our sister site — citing ourselves would not be verification. OneLogin is why that rule is written down: every major aggregator currently reports a $2 / $4 / $8 Starter, Advanced and Professional ladder for OneLogin, and that ladder traces back to a comparison PDF OneLogin itself published in November 2018. The live tiers are Basic, Essentials and Business at $3, $6 and $10.

2.Cost calculation

Costs on this site are seats × published rate × months, with the inputs written into the figure so you can redo the arithmetic. The reference buyer is 200 employees with 30 SaaS apps. Specifically:

• Licensing: seats × per-user-per-month × 12, at annual-billing rates, at the tier that actually does the job rather than the cheapest one listed.
• Minimums are applied before rates. Where a contractual floor binds — Okta's $1,500/yr, Ping's 5,000-user minimum — the floor is the number, and we say so.
• Where a vendor does not publish a rate, we write that it is quote-only. We do not substitute an estimate of what it might be.
• Usage-priced products (Auth0) are shown at their published floor and flagged as not comparable to per-seat rates.

3.Migration cost

We publish no dollar figures for migration. No vendor, integrator or analyst publishes what an IdP migration costs, integrator rates vary several-fold by market, and two deployments of the same headcount can differ by an order of magnitude depending on how much logic sits in the authentication path. A range assembled from that would read as research and would be a guess.

So the migration page gives drivers and units instead: what to count in your own estate, and which source IdPs are harder to leave and why. Apply your own rates to get a number you can defend.

4.Re-verification cadence

Vendor pricing pages are re-fetched on a rolling basis and each IdP page states the date its figures were last confirmed. Where a figure could not be re-confirmed, the page says so rather than carrying the old date forward.

5.Editorial position

Independent. This site carries no affiliate links, no referral fees and no vendor sponsorships, and nothing on it is paid placement.
